It’s a total toss up between “Bedtime Story” - the chicken’s face in the last frame gets me every. single. time! - and “Text Messaging.” Cause really… who DOESN’T love a pirate chicken??? It’s a pirate! No, it’s a chicken! No! It’s a CHIKRATE! (or was that a PIRICKEN?)

My favourite is Chicken Happyland. Who wouldn’t hate all those smiling trees and things? Rather close on its heels is Slightly miffed cow disease. VERY English, I think, as I am too!

I have 2 cartoons posted in my office… Eight Steps and No Rest For The Wicked.
I’ve tried using the excuse that I was psycho but unfortunately,my bosses are more psycho than I am so it doesn’t work! Takes one to know one, I guess….
My favorite would have to be Saint Patrick from March 16. “I want these mother@#*@ing snakes off this mother@#*@ing island!” Loved it!
I just like the plain ol’ chickens. They are so sarcastic and sometimes uncaring. I love the crazy chicks, er dude’s? Who knows!! They be loved!

my fave is “Reconsideration” from Aug 13, 2007. I had it on my desktop, but after a while it depressed me because it was too true.
Oh that’s hard. Probably May 10, 2006. I am an editor and I have a post it I drew it on that has been permanently stuck to my date book. It makes me giggle every time.
I’ve gotta go with one not mentioned here. An older one called Amadeus. What’s not to like about a Falco joke? They are timeless.

Oddly enough, my favorite one from the past year is quite recent, Dating service. Where am I? is a close second, though.
Despite it’s complete lack of chickens I really like Raccoon vs Moon. And I suspect that Werechickens have a similar response to the full moon.
Happy Three! My favorite from last year has got to be the Love Potion. Ninja Library also stuck out as one that made me break out laughing. Now, wouldn’t a mug with Love Potion just be perfect?

I think the coffee mug would have to be You’re Fired, since that’s sort of what happened to me back in August…
It’s hard to decide, but my favorite ones usually have to do with work. I guess if I had to pick my absolute favorite from this past year, it would have to be the one where the chicken does “nothing with zen-like” focus.
My favorite is “Raccoon”. We work with raccoons as well as many other animals and our county is unreasonably paranoid about rabies, so I think this is very funny. Check us out at nc-claws.org

Hi Doug! Happy Anniversary! I found Savage Chicken just last year and every morning I look forward to seeing what you have up. I gives me something to look forward to.
As for my favorite, I have to say I love the one with the chickens in the barrel of Monkeys. That just cracks me up! It is how it feels in my office. They are a lot more things that are more fun than this!

My favorite one is “Twisted Ending” because it’s one that I actually use now. My boyfriend is one of those who just can’t STAND the suspense, and I’m one of those people who love the surprise. It wasn’t until I read that one that I finally got the idea to just twist the movie endings. He falls for it every time!
Congrats, and thanks for 3 years. I have 5 saved here on my computer at work, and would say the jigsaw puzzle is my favorite, with pirate text message and the halloween candy (candy!) next. The butte-iful rock formation and undead poets society round out the top 5.

While i loved “Dating Service,” my favorite for the year would have to be “Tolkien vs Austen.” Its very selective humor amused me so much it is pinned to my cubicle wall. I love laughing at something no one in my office understands.

as someone with ambitions to become a psychiatrist, i adore the cartoons on psychology.
however, “alpaca lips now” has got to be my absolute favourite of the year because it was a bad pun that brought me much-needed laughter…and the alpaca never saw it coming, no siree.

I liked the “magic trick” from Nov. 26 best, with “Chaos in Hell” a close second.
I have to go with “The Moon” from June 26, 2007. That pretty much sums up the genius that is Savage Chickens for me. I still laugh out loud when I think about it. It is also the one I tell people about when I introduce them to the strip.

My favorite is “The Rose” from 1/17/08. The English major in me laughed quite hard at that.

this was really hard! i think i’d have to go with ‘winter fun’ though. i laughed so hard when that came out! and procede to laugh every time i see it!
Gratuitous Violets and Ninja Library, I think, but it was hard to pick.
I wish I could look at the ones I’ve forwarded to friends, because all of those made me laugh out loud. (Either that or sigh in a “Ohh, it’s all true…” kind of way.)
I have four favorites: Saint Patrick, The Third Porridge, Refrigerator, and Patent.
For the one I’d want on a coffee mug, probably would be Saint Patrick. They all still make me laugh-out-loud.

I love the Friday the 13th cartoons! My favorite is the Friday the 13th: Part IV. Who doesn’t think there’s a maniac behind the wheel!!! This is an altime great cartoon!!!

Excellence in Management 6. It’s like you are spying on my work place…
It’s a close call, but my favorite is One Fine Day, which totally describes my life (only I work in a lab).
A close second is the 1st Excellence in Management. All PIs know that pizza trick, and we prove we don’t learn by falling for it every time.
My favorite is “Any Card”…mostly because my brother actually does that. He picked up card tricks a little over a year ago and has gotten quite good, and likes to make it fun…he does a great trick where he fans the cards out and says “Pick any card,” but then he pushes a random card forward and wiggles it around to try to force it into your hands. Highly entertaining.
Anyways, that cartoon was actually our background for a couple weeks (we frequently change our background to the funniest comic that I find, and you should know that Savage Chickens is frequently featured).

gosh there are so many! But one of my favs. Is “twist ending”… Other then that I always love the plain, nothing special chickens that are full of sarcasm.
