Of course, the answer could be "all of the above".

The first time I saw (the original) Planet of the Apes I was very young and didn't understand the significance of the ending.

Ya my first thought was Ghostbusters 2 too.

And then, strangely enough, my next thought was Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. Which seemed too obscure for the cartoon. But Fred Ward rocks!
